The SWCD receives grant money to host conservation field days and meetings throughout the year, free to the public.  The topics covered will vary to cover current agriculture and conservation issues.  Topics in the past have ranged from No-till/Strip-till to Winter Cover Crops to Nutrient Management to Pasture Management.  These field days are hosted at local farms by local farmers who have experimented with, or are just interested in, relevant conservation techniques and have learned by trial and error and from hands-on experience.  The atmosphere of these gatherings presents a fantastic learning environment and we are appreciative to all those who have hosted and presented in the past.

As events are planned in the future, our site will be updated with the details.  If, you would like to be included on our mailing lists for these events, please contact our office.
